The goal of the United States is to help people and in a time of crisis to save people in need. Unfortunately, this quote does not represent the actions taken by the United States after 9/11. In response to 9/11, America invaded Afghanistan and Iraq in an attempt to secure its borders from future attack.

The goal was not to help people but to attain power. This lack of idealism has been a major downfall of American foreign policy after 9/11.
